New York’s Lenny Fontana returns to Muscle Funk, delivering another floor filler for their rapidly growing catalogue with a super new take on Labi Siffre’s ‘My Song’. Re-imagined as a catchy Disco House infused cut, ‘My Song’ featuring the fresh vocal talents of London’s Paris Francis, whose vocals perfectly flow over Lenny’s uplifting soundtrack teased with vibrant sax, sweeping strings and a funky bass hook, bringing that signature Fontana chic and sparkle to the party. Also on the package, label boss Midnight McBride teams up with regular label cohort Bri Buckle on an Electro House style romp armed with a gritty electro-bass groove and soaring synth melodies that pack a punch on the peak time floors.
Acclaimed NY producer, much-loved DJ and Karmic Power Records boss, Lenny Fontana, has been a successful player on the house music scene for decades. Inspired by DJ Larry Levan, Lenny went on to play at Studio 54 in the late 80’s and other NYC Clubs. Fast forward to today and Lenny continues to uphold a busy tour schedule around the world. Production wise, he’s still as impressive and fresh as ever, with his recent single ‘If You Want Me’ ft Jasmine Lovett hitting the Traxsource no.1 spot in January. Lenny is no stranger to the Muscle Funk family having already delivered remixes of Atari Safari ft Yonah ‘Boom Tat’, and Jenny Harrison ‘Going Crazy.
Hailing from Camden Town, London, Paris Francis is an emerging singer-songwriter whose soulful artistry is quickly gaining attention for its emotional honesty, rich vocal delivery, and genre blending sound. Fusing elements of R&B, Neo-Soul, Jazz and Soul, Paris’ music carries a timeless quality while remaining deeply contemporary and emotionally resonant, she is steadily establishing herself as one of London’s promising new voices.
As the Muscle Funk label family continues to gather rapid momentum, they are heading to Ibiza to host a series of parties at Café Del Mar and the Funky Room on the weekend of 14-16th of August with Paris on vocals and a whole crew of DJ’s and dancers – not to be missed if you’re on the island!
