Die & Interface Feat William Cartwright
Released through Toolroom Records
Download available from 12th September 2010, CD available from 12th September 2010
Toolroom Records are cracking open the bubbly once more to celebrate their 200th release and what a cracker it is with Die & Interface feat William Cartwright 'Bright Lights'. We've even commissioned one of Britain's finest and most prolific artists' Inkie to provide us with unique one-off special artwork, as you can see! For this momentous occasion we have also drafted in some of electronic music's biggest talents in Netsky, Joker, Sidney Samson and Mark Knight to deliver a stunning package.
Already receiving huge support on the airwaves from Mistajam, Bailey (1xtra) through to Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Trevor Nelson (BBC Radio 1) and DJ Hype (Kiss 100), alongside big hitters Andy C and Grooverider, 'Bright Lights' has been described as 'THE biggest drum n bass record of the year!'.
The genre defying 'Bright Lights' radio edit kicks off with delectably warm chords and the emotive vocals of William Cartwright before flipping the script with electrifying vocoded vocals and a monstrous drop that picks you up by the scruff of the neck, shakes you senseless and catapults you head first into a wall of intense, earth shattering beats and a seriously savage bass.
With a seat firmly reserved at Drum and Bass's top table through a string of chart-topping releases that includes his critically acclaimed debut artist album, Netsky stamps his distinctive sound on 'Bright Lights' for this remix EXCLUSIVE to iTunes. If it's uplifting, melancholic melodies, waves of euphoric synths and a heavy dancefloor bass you're after, then this remix has you covered.
Another iTunes EXCLUSIVE comes courtesy of dubstep's hottest property, Joker. Having re-written the dubstep rule book countless times with his ear-catching productions, Joker throws up a big, brazen, grimey re-rub with a speaker shattering bassline that blends effortlessly with stirring synth lines and rousing riffs.
For those more partial to their four to the floor beats, label boss Mark Knight turns in a superb jackin house remix whilst Sidney Samson provides his trademark sound on a package that suits every taste. For DJ's after a crowd-mobilising weapon of mass destruction, look no further than the Rockers Mix.
This is a truly unmissable release from Toolroom that once again encapsulates the ethos of a forward thinking label at the forefront of electronic music.
