Stacey Jackson - I Am A Woman
CD released: 23rd September 2012 Download available from: 23rd September 2012
Released by: 3BIG Records
After Stacey's latest successes in the US with 'Is This Love' playing across the whole of the States on Sirius XM with at least 60 spins a week and a super special VIP remix with Snoop Dogg getting aired on Radio 1, Stacey has been mad busy in and out the studio working with different producers to come up with this eclectic remix package. Stacey has called upon world renowned DJ's/Producers from a few different continents to create a multitude of dance floor bangers to go into Ibiza, club charts and world wide radio stations.
There are a number of remixes on this package, so we have highlighted a few that we feel are going to get some heat behind them.
Ruff Loaderz − Have been the go to guys for remixes of recent months. With a top 10 under there belt for D'Banj's 'Oliver Twist' and remix credits for Rhianna, Katy Perry and The Wanted they're doing rather well at the moment! They did what was asked of them and turned this track into a; hands in the air main room dance stomper, set for clubs and radio.
Das Kapital − This 21 year old is fast becoming the poster boy for the Dance scene in South Africa headlining numerous club nights and events including Sonar Cape Town and the Electronic Music Festival Cape Town. He also fronts a very successful weekly 3hour radio show which trends on twitter throughout South Africa. He is also a successful recording artist and producer who has remixed Laidback Luke and Sandro Silva (both Mixmash), The Only (MOS Australia), HeavyFeet, and has recently worked on the high profile Universal USA remix project for Rob Zombie. He has also written music for Hollywood Film trailers and had music used in US TV shows. In his spare time (!) he is a brand ambassador for New Era. With this remix he blends Stacey's vocal with a euphoric tribal sounding dance number, the drums smash hard and the bass rolls harder.
Est8 − A pseudonym for Daniel Jones from the internationally successful Kinetic Music Group from the South Coast, UK which includes Richard Earnshaw, Angie Brown and Spiritchaser. The Est8 mix of Spiritchaser's These Tears was a massive hit in South Africa spending 40 weeks in the top 10 and 8 weeks at number 1. The Video has had over 200 plays on MTV to date. This mix is a big main room pumper that kicks hard and should be primed for dance shows across the country.
Moony − The UKG don from Brighton has been getting his name know for a few years now. With a weekly show on Nasty FM and mixes for 1xtra, Kiss, Rinse and releasing music on the up and coming
Gob Stopper Records. Watch closely for Moony's rise from the underground. He has turned in a funky 2- step riddim using Stacey's vocal and creating a radio and club friendly track.
OldSoundsNew - is the new band from the Isle of Wight's Motion Pictures' Tom Gardner and Rupert Brown. They make a US west coast 60s influenced dreamy sound with real drums provided by Brown acknowledged as being one of the best drummers in the UK and guitar by Gardner. It sounds like it's name, brilliant downtempo chilled and smokey which sounds like it's sampled but isn't.
Lil Cees - is a radio DJ on New York's 92.3 NOW. He is also a remixer and producer of banging House and Hard Dance tracks. This mix takes the main room sound and drops it heavy with big builds and wavey strings.
DJ Cova − has done remixes for the likes of Chris Brown, Wiz Kahlifa and Tinie Tempa to name a few, he's puts his fingers on the buttons for this anthemic commercial dance number set to rock US radio and dance floors around any town.
Ziggy - is a highly tipped DJ / producer from the Netherlands. Starting off with major support for his "Lil' Wayne - A Milli" bootleg, Ziggy has now remixed Martin Solveig, Timbaland, Chris Brown, Ian Carey and Spencer & Hill & Nadia Ali. Ziggy's productions are supported by Afrojack, Martin Solveig, Armin van Buuren, Thomas Gold, Axwell, Hardwell, Tiesto, Laidback Luke and many others.
